Theora and Vorbis things everybody should know about

Here are just a few things I think every open standards loving geek should know about:

Thoggen
The easiest DVD ripping utility ever. Just click, click and wait. That's it. Everybody should have it installed.

OggConvert
The simplest "anything-to-theora" converter, with Matroska container support and Dirac encoding thrown in for free.

Istanbul
A desktop session recording tool with Theora output support. It's very simple to use and will record your complete desktop into a neat little Theora movie.

Firefox 3.1
Finally, in browser Theora support.. bring on those <video> tags, even in within SVG!

FireOgg
This is a Firefox plugin which allows you to recode videos to Theora all through a simple plugin. Uploading a video will be handled using 1MB chucks, which means that uploading is more fault tolerant even for larger files.
